Job Duties & Responsibilities   

  • Analyzing data models to design and develop test plans/methodologies and manually execute test cases in Snowflake or other data warehouses/databases 
  • Validating and testing BI Dashboards / Reports created in Sigma for a variety of Source systems 
  • Defining and managing test data and test environments for Source to Target testing, including collaboration with Source product teams for data preparation 
  • Engaging and collaborating with a cross functional software development life cycle team to ensure high quality and timely product releases 
  • Being a vocal champion for quality, looking for ways to move quality left in the SDLC process, identifying process improvement opportunities and proposing solutions 
  • Designing and developing automation tests in DBT and other automation test tools for data testing/validation 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies as well as contributing to Agile ceremonies 
  • Using Jira and Zephyr to contribute to the agile scrum processes including documenting software testing procedures 
  • Developing risk-based test strategies 
  • Identifying and documenting defects  
  • Managing product quality through issue prioritization, test planning, design review, and cross team communication 
  • Creating and maintaining reusable test assets that facilitate efficient software quality assessments 
  • Leveraging client experience data to improve quality of product and operations 
  • Using data to assess quality of product and efficiency of operations, familiarity with quality and operational metrics 
  • Contributing to cross functional process initiatives within the SDLC organization 
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action concepts 

Location  

 This role is open to candidates working in Bengaluru, Ind (hybrid).  

 Basic Qualifications    

  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data warehouse testing and analysis, using any ETL Tool with Oracle / Postgres as a database, preferable experience with Snowflake 
  • Experience testing BI Reports / Dashboards, preferable experience with Sigma 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage software testing projects 
  • Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases  

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Minimum of 2 years of software testing experience 
  • Extensive experience in writing and troubleshooting SQL Queries 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Skilled at testing reports and dashboards 
  • Knowledge of infrastructure/architecture for data transformation and data modeling 
  • Adept at navigating Jira and Zephyr to facilitate the SDLC agile process 
  • Familiarity with manual and automated test strategies 
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving with an Agile mindset  

 Physical and Mental Requirements  

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation 
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.  
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions 
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities 
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking
