The Cloudera Quality Engineering Team is looking for exceptionally talented SDETs, to deliver continuous improvement of the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) product that we provide to our customers. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality features/releases involving Data management and leveraging AI where applicable for Cloudera as well as for our customers
As a SDET you will:
Develop test strategies based on feature definition including strategies for both automated testing (incorporating component, functional, negative, regression, and end-to-end testing) and manual exploratory testing
Build, enhance and maintain automation frameworks for scalability, stability, and performance.
Write new automated tests for existing and new features
Debug system-level deployment issues, root cause analysis, and resolve failures.
Strong commitment to best practices in QA and software development, including modern CI using Jenkins processes. Comfortable with Agile/Scrum processes and code review.
We’re excited about you if you have:
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
Strong knowledge in at least one of the following languages: Python (preferred)/Java
Inclination to work with latest AI technologies
Strong knowledge in any big data technologies like hive, ozone, hdfs, Iceberg, Hbase
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, including the creation of test cases and test plans
Development experience in Linux environments and docker technologies
Strong knowledge of Automation Framework Design and good at debugging
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
