The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco: 

• Moloco is a Machine Learning Company. A key part of our value proposition are our Machine Learning (ML) models. These models are built and deployed on infrastructure built by the ML-Infrastructure team. As part of the ML-Infrastructure team, you will get an opportunity to build software that will enable the ML team to ship faster and better models efficiently.

The Opportunity: 

• Work with advanced machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow2 and JAX to leverage newer versions of hardware accelerators like GPUs and TPUs.
• Work on infrastructure that helps the ML team train about 1000 model instances everyday and serve 7M QPS within a latency of 25 milliseconds.
• Build infrastructure that helps Moloco’s ML teams explore new features, train models with new features, and productionalize them.
• Work with tools such as Apache Beam (or equivalent, e.g. Spark) or BigQuery, or build abstractions on top of them, to leverage our Petabyte-scale data for ML.

How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me? 

• At least one year of software engineering experience using one or more modern languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go, C++, etc.
• At least one year of software development experience on backend/infrastructure systems. Experience working on machine learning infrastructure or data infrastructure is preferred. 
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
• Fundamental understanding of distributed computing concepts. Experience working with large-scale distributed systems is strongly preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of hardware accelerators like GPUs and TPUs. Experience optimizing workloads on them is strongly preferred.
• Experience working on modern machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow2, PyTorch, and/or JAX is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Fundamental understanding of how ML training data is generated.
• Fundamental understanding of data frameworks such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or similar. Experience optimizing workloads on them is strongly preferred.
• Experience in building a Feature Store is preferred.
• Experience with public cloud (GCP, AWS or Azure) is preferred.

In accordance with various state laws, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
