We are looking for a Software Engineer intern to join the Data Science Engineering Platform team and help us craft data collection and observability solutions for data at scale. As an intern, your responsibility will be to develop and deploy enterprise grade services, data pipelines and workflows for collecting the data until loading to data lake. You would be a phenomenal fit if you are genuinely passionate about data engineering platforms, methodologies and possesses excellent problem-solving skills!

What you’ll be doing:

• Contribute to development and support of data models, schemas, and data servicesthat provide blazing-fast analytics performance.
• Contribute to building scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and transformation.
• Add features to augment data quality check and observability capabilities to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

What we need to see:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent degree within Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent programming and testing skills in Python, Java or similar languages. Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
• Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multinational, multi-time-zone corporate environment
• Self-motivated and possesses outstanding collaboration skills with both peers and users.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience working with Golang and Python especially building data services at scale.
• Prior experience using data engineering frameworks such as Kafka, Cloudera, Spark, Airflow or Hadoop.
• Contributions to Opensource Software projects.
