Role overview

CAST AI is seeking a highly skilled senior software engineer with deep expertise in virtualization and systems programming to join our team. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a stealth project in the CTO’s office and join as the first engineer of this newly formed team. 

  • Experience with Linux environments and system programming
  • Experience with containers and orchestration (such as Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)
  • Strong programming skills in Go
  • Be very comfortable reading C code
  • This is Senior level Software Engineering role.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Deep knowledge of low-level Linux details process level and down
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go
  • Kubernetes experience is a huge plus
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, any of AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with storage APIs, including snapshot, clone, provision, attach, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Experience with storage systems in Cloud File and Block based
  • Experience with network stack, very comfortable with OSI layers, Software Defined Networks.
