Meet The Team:
As the Senior, Software Engineer - Autonomy Software Release, you will deliver reliable, high-quality software releases for autonomy applications. This is a “working manager” position where you’ll initially act as an individual contributor while building a team of talented engineers. Your role will be critical in establishing robust delivery pipelines, ensuring code quality, and streamlining development workflows to empower innovation and maintain safety and reliability. What You'll Do:
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of engineers focused on software release management, delivery pipelines, and deployment infrastructure.
- Process Ownership: Design and implement version control strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Individual Contributions: Contribute directly to infrastructure setup, pipeline development, and integration support until the team is established.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with integration, deployment, simulation, and development teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Code Quality Enforcement: Define and enforce rigorous code quality standards through automated testing and reviews.
- Technical Leadership: Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, improve developer productivity, and enhance software reliability.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering or release management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
- Expertise in version control systems, including branching and merging strategies (e.g., Git).
- Strong understanding of code quality standards, automated testing, and metrics.
- Experience with infrastructure tools and frameworks for deployment and integration.
- Familiarity with robotic or autonomous systems software is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities to foster team growth and alignment.
Bonus Points!
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety-critical software development and release standards.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration tools.
- Background in supporting large-scale software systems integration and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with simulation environments or virtual testing for autonomous systems.

Hiring Range for Job Opening US Pay Range
