What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Understand the Product & Business
    • Gain a deep understanding of the product, its business model, and the key levers driving its growth.
    • Use this knowledge to analyze data and ensure ongoing campaign success.
  2. Product Analytics Mastery
    • Develop and implement robust analytics schemas to track and analyze user activity within our products (Chatly and Imagine).
    • Design data models that provide clear insights into complex user behavior and translate these into actionable strategies.
    • Utilize Mixpanel to analyze user behavior, track key metrics, and create actionable insights that enhance product performance.
    • Build dashboards and reports within Mixpanel to monitor user engagement, retention, and other critical KPIs.
    • Leverage Mixpanel's advanced features (e.g., cohort analysis, funnels, and retention analysis) to support data-driven decision-making.
  3. Forecasting
    • Build predictive models for product metrics using historical and real-time data.
    • Leverage forecasting techniques to anticipate trends and inform decision-making.
  4. Perform Deep Analysis & Debugging
    • Provide support for deep, ad-hoc analysis of product and marketing performance.
    • Debug and resolve data-related issues to ensure accurate insights.
  5. Track Event Integrations & Tests
    • Collaborate with product teams to oversee and track event testing and integration.
    • Ensure proper implementation and validation of event tracking across tools like GA4 and Mixpanel.
  6. Competitive Analysis & Experimentation
    • Analyze top competitors to identify trends, opportunities, and benchmarks.
    • Design and execute experiments to test new growth hypotheses backed by data insights.
  7. User Segmentation & Ideal Customer Profiles
    • Build a deep understanding of user segmentation and customer personas.
    • Analyze data to identify our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP) and recommend strategies to optimize engagement and retention.
  8. Growth Funnel Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze growth funnels (Awareness, Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, and Revenue) to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement data-driven strategies that enhance product performance and revenue growth.
  9. GTM & GA4 Audits
    • Conduct regular audits of Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to ensure proper event tracking and integration.
    • Verify that the right events are triggering across tools and platforms, and recommend improvements where necessary.
    • Collaborate with engineers to resolve tracking issues and optimize data collection processes.
  10. Data Querying & Reporting
    • Leverage BigQuery, SQL, and other tools to extract, analyze, and visualize data.
    • Write and optimize SQL queries to provide meaningful insights and reports for stakeholders.
    • Present findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical teams.
  11. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy
    • Partner with teams across Product, Growth, and Engineering to develop data-informed strategies.
    • Work closely with vendors and stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
  12. Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in product analytics, data visualization, and event tracking.
    • Proactively identify gaps in data tracking and collaborate with engineers to ensure robust data collection processes.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong command of SQL and Python.
  • Solid understanding of growth metrics like ARPU, LTV, Retention, etc.
  • Experience in dashboarding using Power BI and Looker Studio.
  • Expertise in data validation, cleaning, and preparation.
  • Proven ability to translate data insights into real business impact.
  • Experience with GA4, Mixpanel, or other product analytics tools.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery.
  • Experience working with SaaS metrics.
  • Knowledge of customer journey mapping and growth loops.
