Role reports to: Senior Manager of Data Science and AI
Location: Kenvue is currently in the process of moving it's Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ. This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman.
Pay: $92,000.00 – $149,500.00
What you will do
The Senior Data Scientist (DTPO) is responsible for identifying technology enablers that support continuous improvement within business processes, researching and promoting technology solutions that enable business objectives, and collaborating with business users and project managers to define technical requirements, including the use of Graph Databases like Neo4j for enhanced data modeling and relationship mapping, as well as leveraging Data Science methodologies and Generative AI techniques to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of Data Science and AI-based digital product strategies in alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features and requirements to optimize data relationships and insights, as well as incorporating Data Science methodologies to drive predictive analytics and decision-making.
- Manage the product backlog and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, including Graph Database applications (GraphRAG), Data Science advancements, and Generative AI, to identify new opportunities for innovation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth in Generative AI and Data Science.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, experience designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the digital product.
- Identify and prioritize new features and enhancements based on user needs, technology trends, and business impact, leveraging Graph Database capabilities, Data Science insights, and Generative AI where applicable.
- Define and track KPIs to measure the success of the digital product and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
- Manage the product roadmap and backlog, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Communicate product updates and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements for the digital product.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6-8 years of experience in Data Science and AI with hands-on knowledge of product management.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in digital product management within the CPG industry.
- Strong technical background with experience in software development and agile methodologies, including proficiency in Python, Git and, importantly, Graph Databases like Neo4j.
- Experience with Data Science and Generative AI methodologies and applications.
- Experience developing Data Science and AI solutions through the Data Science Model Development Lifecycle.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and its application in software builds, testing, and CI/CD.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

What’s in it for you
- Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $92,000.00 – $149,500.00. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
