As a Senior Data Scientist within the Customer Engagement and Digital Area, you will play a key role in the use of AI and Gen AI to help our customers having the best banking experience imaginable. This role involves designing clever data science solutions that can be integrated in one of the best banking App in Australia reaching millions of customers every day.
You will work closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams within the Retail Bank to ensure our customers can fully benefit from and feel rewarded by banking with us. You will come with a strong business acumen along with demonstrable experience in using statistics, machine learning and Gen AI to predict the next best thing we can do for our customers.

Passionate about building and validating market leading responsible AI capabilities, practises and models
Excited about tackling new challenging business problems in data science by using AI and Gen AI responsibly.
Adept with using a combination of statistics, AI and analytics to find unique solutions that add strategic value to the business.
Collaborative in nature to work alongside risk, product and technical teams, proactive in solving data problems and courageous in positively influencing stakeholders.
Tech skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them. However, we expect you to be able to think deeply about problems and apply imaginatively your statistical and technical skills. Moreover, you must have strong coding skills to be able to quickly implement ideas and write production code.
Substantial experience in developing, validating, deploying and monitoring statistical and machine learning models using Python, SQL, R or any other language
Experience building and testing Generative AI solutions is highly desirable
Understanding of model governance best practices
Practical experience with command line, GitHub, AWS and CI/CD pipeline
