Senior Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in driving our data strategy and leveraging advanced analytics to address complex business challenges. will be responsible for leading projects that involve both traditional Machine Learning modeling and cutting-edge Generative AI applications. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of projects from conception through to execution and delivering actionable insights that drive business value
Data Collection and Preprocessing:
Design and implement robust data collection strategies to gather relevant data from various sources.
Clean, preprocess, and validate the integrity of data to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis and modeling.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.
Statistical Analysis:
Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights from complex datasets.
Apply statistical techniques to test hypotheses, validate assumptions, and derive meaningful conclusions from data.
Machine Learning and AI Model Development:
Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models to solve business problems and improve operational efficiencies.
Explore and apply Generative AI techniques to create innovative solutions and enhance product offerings.
Conduct model evaluation and validation to ensure robustness, accuracy, and generalizability.
Deploy models into production and monitor their performance, making necessary adjustments as required.
Understanding Human Behavior for AI Applications:
Analyze and interpret data related to human behavior to develop AI models that can predict and influence outcomes.
Collaborate with domain experts to understand the nuances of human interactions and integrate these insights into AI models.
Data Engineering Collaboration:
Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of models into data workflows and systems.
Contribute to the design and implementation of data storage solutions, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
Communicate complex analytical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
Mentorship and Leadership:
Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance to the team.
Lead project teams and coordinate efforts to ensure timely and successful delivery of data science projects.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and apply them to ongoing projects.
Experiment with new methodologies and tools to push the boundaries of what is possible with data.
Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines, preferably from premier Institutes.
6+ in Data Science, predictive modeling using Statistics and Machine learning
Experience in Python, R or SAS, SQL and distributed computing
Good knowledge of Generative AI models
Ability to translate business challenges into analytical problems
Ability to articulate and explain statistical / machine learning techniques to business partners
Proven experience in telling stories using data
Ability to handle large datasets for building Statistical/Machine learning models which includes hands on experience working on data cleansing, manipulation and data mining.
Proven ability to work with ambiguous (not well defined) challenges
Displays curiosity to learn and learns independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Proven ability to take initiative and work under pressure in a changing/growing environment
Ability to work individually or as a team as task requires
Able to cultivate interpersonal customer and co-worker relationships
