Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Azure Engineer who manages and optimizes Azure resources, implements governance policies, and ensures compliance with security standards. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and leveraging advanced analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective cloud operations.
• Implement and maintain Azure governance policies, including resource tagging, cost allocation, and budget management.
• Monitor and analyze Azure usage and spending, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline cloud management tasks.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in the Azure environment.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud infrastructure and application performance.
• Provide guidance and support to teams on Azure best practices and cost optimization strategies.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of Azure resources to ensure optimal configuration and usage.
• Migration and Digital Transformation Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure during and after migration to achieve cost savings and performance improvements.
  • Implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and cost management during digital transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business goals and objectives.
• KPIs:
  • Reduction in Azure costs through effective management and optimization strategies.
  • High compliance rate with Azure governance policies and security standards.
  • Efficient and successful migration of systems to Azure with minimal downtime.
  • Improved performance and reliability of cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • High satisfaction levels among development and operations teams regarding Azure support and guidance.
• Offshore and International Considerations:
• Ensure consistent Azure management and cost optimization practices across all locations.
• Provide training and support to offshore teams on Azure best practices and cost management.
• Monitor and address region-specific challenges related to Azure usage and costs.
• Implement secure and efficient communication channels for collaboration with international teams
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent

Experience:

• 5+ years in cloud engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure, including experience in cost management and optimization.

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, architecture, and best practices.
• Proficiency in cost management tools and techniques, including Azure Cost Management and Billing.
• Experience with automation tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
