We are looking for people with strong product sense and a great taste for design. This role involves inventing new kinds of UIs for generative mediums, and bringing them to millions of Luma users in a fast iterative environment.

Responsibilites

• Work with designers, PMs, and other engineers to bring Luma to Android devices.

• Build with some of the newest Android technologies like Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines and flows.

• Participate in user research and testing to better understand our customers.

• Share responsibility for testing, releasing, and maintaining our mobile apps.

• Communicate and document architectural designs and requirements.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in developing and shipping delightful native Android apps, using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Strong software development skills.

• Great design and UX taste.

• Familiarity with frameworks like Kotlin Coroutines, Hilt, Room and experience working with media on Android, using libraries like Jetpack Media3, is a strong plus.

Compensation

• In addition to cash base pay, you'll also receive a sizable grant of Luma's equity.

• The pay range for this position is $160000- 225000/yr for Bay Area. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
