Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect II. Engaging in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks; Performing advanced packet analysis to identify attacks and threats to our network; Managing and documenting technical issues, responses, and requests to ensure information is recorded and updated; Providing support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues; Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on mitigation and analysis. Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Political Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Management, Telecommunications and Network Engineering, or Telecommunications Systems Management, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: Cybersecurity, Networking, Mathematics, Statistics, Databases, Python Scripting, DDoS Mitigation, WAAP and Firewalls, Packet and Log Analysis, Software Testing, and Project Management.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $91600 - $190400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
