As Sagittal AI’s Sales Leader, you will be instrumental in shaping our sales strategy, expanding our market reach, and ensuring that Sagittal AI truly disrupts the software product process. You will be initially tactical and results-driven as an individual contributor, but will quickly grow the sales function and strategy. You have a demonstrated ability to drive revenue, scale teams, and work closely with startup founders.
You will be pushing the founders and the entire company to hone messaging, and you will own the tactics and strategy to bring their exciting product to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Generate the company's first meaningful ARR within the first 6 months by acquiring enterprise and SME customers. Meaningfully expand this ARR over the next 12-18 months using land-and-expand.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategy with 2-prong approach of SMEs and Enterprise. Help the organization support your objectives through messaging, features and sales support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the entire org, especially to ensure a cohesive approach to market development through customer engagement.
- Reporting & Analytics: Own pipeline forecasting and performance metrics, demonstrating 3x pipeline coverage ratio and consistent deal progression.
- Long term responsibilities:
- Grow Sales Team: after personal success as an Individual Contributor, pivot to player-coach. Recruit, mentor and lead a high-performing sales team. Foster value-based and consultative selling, collaboration, accountability, learning and results-driven performance.
- Market Expansion: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to penetrate new industries and geographies, as well as expand in existing customers. Explore partnership potentials.
- Sales Process Optimization: Continuously refine the sales processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. Implement best practices and leverage sales technologies to drive performance.
- Investor Relations: Work with executive leadership to present sales performance, market strategy, and growth plans to investors. Play a key role in fundraising efforts as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a B2B SaaS.
- Experience selling highly technical solutions, ideally AI or SDLC tools, to CTOs, VPs of Engineering, or technical stakeholders.
- Established network, ideally including the USA, in enterprise or mid-market companies to facilitate rapid customer acquisition.
- Generated $1M+ ARR in startup or early-stage environments.
- Experience in building and executing sales strategies.
- Strong understanding sales enablement tools. Proficiency in data analysis and sales forecasting.
- Experience building sales organizations from scratch, hiring, and mentoring top-performing sales teams, and successfully transitioning from individual contributor to team leader.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
