The Role

WTW has developed market leading analytical technology to empower brokers, clients, and consultants to evaluate risk and create strategies and optimize risk decision making. This leads to clients creating significant cost savings, improved efficiency, and greater influence within their organizations. This position will be responsible for the development of risk tools and engagement of brokers, clients, and consultants.

This will include working with actuaries, data scientists, and developers to assist in the build of analytical products and technologies. You will work within all segments of the risk model creation cycle (concept creation, R&D, data analysis, algorithm creation, technology implementation, and rollout to stakeholders and clients).  

This hybrid role is located in either the New York City or Richmond Virginia area, to be close to the broader modeling team and major stakeholders.

The role will be measured by your additive contributions to various risk model applications

This is a hybrid role (3 x per week in office) based out of either New York or Richmond, Virginia.

The Responsibilities 

Objective: Creation and Enhancement of Analytical Capabilities to empower WTW clients

  • By using quantitative skills assist the Core Analytics team in the continued build of our scalable analytical platform. 
  • Work within project teams to build out specific models (new models, model enhancements, and prototypes).
  • Partner with IT and the engagement team on the creation of models and content.
  • Apply strong analytical skills and concepts.
  • Write code for scalable analytical delivery.
  • Participate in stakeholder presentations and client proposals. 
  • Partner with the broader team to build and execute on the RiskIQ commercial strategy.

The Requirements

  • Technical expertise around risk modeling.
  • Knowledge and application of various coding languages (R and/or Python).
  • Understand analytical processes and financial indicators and parameters.
  • Actuarial or risk modeling work experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure; able to make a quick decision.  But always in collaboration with the broader team.
  • Skilled in assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions; setting clear objectives and measures; monitors process, progress, and results; designs feedback loops into work. Maintains two-way dialogue with others on work and results; brings out the best in people; is a clear communicator.
  • Working without close supervision, defining direction and complying with Group strategy & objectives.

Compensation and Benefits (US)

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.

Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 70,000 - 95,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
