Job Description

Apply your mastery discrete event simulation techniques and high performance / parallel computing architectures to exciting problems in Operations Research. Work in a multi-disciplinary team that includes experts in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Electronics, and Semiconductor Manufacturing. Your research will have high visibility due to its high potential to increase the value of global products.

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or similar field with focus on discrete event modeling or high performance computing 

  • 3+ years’ experience developing discrete event simulations in an operational environment 

  • Experience with high performance computing, especially parallel programming 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Relevant PhD (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or similar field) with focus on HPC or discrete event simulation topics 

  • 5+ years’ experience developing discrete event simulations in an operational environment 

  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing (especially semiconductor) environments 

  • 3+ years’ experience applying parallel programming and other HPC principles to operational solutions 

Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $140,000 per year. In addition to a competitive base salary, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
