About our group:
​​​​​Recording Performance Engineering (RPE) department’s primary mission is to test the electrical efficiency of the magnetic media and head. We use VXI-Based Testing System (VTS) and Reduced Footprint Spin stand (RFS) as a component level of electrical tester. We will provide process feedback/design feedback for mass production and development/Launch and aid drive development by characterizing distribution and developing transfer function. In additional, we will test Failure Analysis tool (electrical HDD failures only) and screen defects (electrical only) related to magnetic sputtering processAbout the role - you will:
As an intern in RPE department, you will work closely with the engineers to develop and implement smart factory and AI solutions engineering solutions to enhance tester performance and drive productivity improvements. A key aspect of your involvement will be looking to address metrology challenges and long-term issues. 
 
You will embark on exciting projects designed to enhance our operational efficiency and align with our strategic objectives: 


Monitoring System for Hardware Firmware Revision & Product Setup: Track firmware versions and product setups for testers, with triggers for detecting changes and logging activities. 




Real-Time Dashboard for RFS Tester: Develop a dashboard to display RFS tester statuses across sites, with alerts for offline or error states and automated notifications for support. 




Predictive System for Troubleshooting: Build a system that simulates expert decision-making and centralizes troubleshooting knowledge. 




Inventory System for Test Heads and Reference Disks: Implement a system to track inventory levels and trigger alerts for low stock.

Your experience includes:


Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering with a strong understanding of data science modeling. 




Experience in working on predictive modeling project 




Proficiency in programming, with experience in Python, VBA, and data science tools.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
