Summary of Position:
As a QA Project Manager you will be leading the roadmap for quality assurance initiatives, organize agile testing workflows, and build the foundational processes and documentation that will scale with us.
Essential Functions:
- Own and drive the QA roadmap, aligning test initiatives with product releases, business goals, and engineering timelines.
- Organize and lead agile QA test cycles, ensuring sprint goals are supported by efficient and timely QA activities.
- Build and maintain a standardized process and documentation framework that enables high-quality, consistent testing across the team.
- Use JIRA dashboards and metrics to monitor QA throughput, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business, product, and development partners to ensure test plans are clear, test cases are properly scoped, and schedules are achievable.
- Facilitate backlog grooming and prioritization sessions focused on QA deliverables and testing risks.
- Advocate for a customer-first approach, ensuring all QA efforts contribute meaningfully to the end-user experience.
- Identify scope, risks, and ROI for testing efforts, ensuring resource allocation aligns with business priorities.
- Support release planning by coordinating testing milestones, regression cycles, and go/no-go decision points.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or general equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in project management
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management, QA leadership, or product operations in an agile software development environment.
- Strong understanding of QA practices, SDLC, and agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
- Proven ability to translate requirements into actionable test initiatives and organize teams for iterative delivery.
- Hands-on experience using JIRA and other agile project tools to manage workflows and report progress.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience developing test documentation structures (e.g., test plans, risk matrices, dashboards).
- Strong analytical mindset; ability to use data and metrics to support decision-making and process optimization.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with QA/test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, Xray) is a plus.
