We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Vision Systems Engineer to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine vision systems.

Job Summary:

This position will focus on managing project teams (internal/external) to deliver Automation/Logistics Machines and/or Systems on time and within budget. This position will also be responsible for the support of complete Functional Area Testing and End-to-End System Testing for our Clients through meticulous planning, implementation, documentation, coordination, test produce preparation and communication.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop project plans and schedules; administer and maintain all project documentation.
• Ensure delivery of projects in line with business plan, schedules and budget.
• Ensure effective financial management and analysis of projects including budgets, cash flow, expenses, and staffing.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, at all levels.
• Ensure and drive high levels of performance both internally and externally.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and proactively develop contingency plans.
• Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators (KPI’s).
• Technical Expertise: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility and adherence to specifications.
• Field Support: Coordinate and support field installations and testing, as required.



Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• BEng. Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronics degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience. Machine assembly and field construction/installation environment preferred.
• Strong Communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project.
• Background with Pharmaceutical Industry Equipment a plus.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Lead Project Management role
• Previous experience of managing engineering team prioritization of work with schedule requirements.
• Previous experience of financial project reporting to Senior Finance Managers; ETC’s. (Estimate-To-Complete Forecasting)
• Strong technical experience in the Automation/Logistics Industry
• Previous mechanical and electrical exposure to vision systems, material handling equipment, and robotics
• Demonstrable experience of providing critical quality control reviews to Mechanical Engineering drawings.
• Previous usage of equipment for site field measurements
• Previous experience of being responsible with project added work estimation of equipment (using software) and developing contracts with technical team members.
• Past involvement in commissioning/testing electrical control panels and subsystem controls functionality
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish key relationships at all levels.
• Exceptional attention to detail and highly tuned complex problem-solving skills
• Demonstrable ability to work on own initiative and to tight timescales
• Confident user of Microsoft’s: Office Suite, Dynamics 365, Project Online, and SharePoint.
• Ability to function in AutoCAD.
• Ability to review and read technical drawings.

KEY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED - DESIRABLE

• Good working knowledge of another language.
• Previous experience of multi-project coordination with international teams.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES

• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, travel % may vary based on business needs and will include international travel.
• Physical stamina (including lifting and standing during Testing & Commissioning stages).
• Flexibility regarding actual hours worked during certain critical project stages. (40-hour work week minimum with potential 60+ hour work week during critical nature of project execution.)
