Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team and lead product development efforts for our hybrid AI/VFX pipeline and workflow software. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the Head of Creative Technology to define and execute the product strategy for our proprietary tools that integrate cutting-edge AI with traditional VFX processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AI video technologies, a proven track record in technical product management, and the ability to translate cutting-edge research into practical production solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

   • Collaborate with the Head of Creative Technology to define product vision and strategy for our hybrid AI/VFX pipeline software

   • Develop and maintain product roadmaps for workflow tools that blend AI generation with traditional VFX techniques

   • Prioritize features and capabilities based on production needs and technological opportunities

   • Balance innovation with practical production requirements

   • Establish success metrics and KPIs for product initiatives

2. Pipeline & Workflow Development

   • Co-lead the product development of our proprietary AI/VFX pipeline tools

   • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows between AI generation and traditional VFX

   • Define requirements for integrating various AI models into cohesive production pipelines

   • Work with engineering teams to ensure pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance

   • Create a seamless user experience for both AI and VFX specialists

3. Cross-functional Leadership

   • Serve as the bridge between technical teams, creative stakeholders, and production staff

   • Collaborate with engineers, VFX artists, and AI researchers on pipeline development

   • Gather and synthesize feedback from users across different disciplines

   • Communicate product vision and pipeline architecture to internal teams

   • Build consensus around product decisions and workflow approaches

4. Technology Integration

   • Work closely with the Research & Innovation team to integrate new AI capabilities into the pipeline

   • Evaluate new models, techniques, and tools for potential integration

   • Define technical requirements for connecting diverse technologies into a unified workflow

   • Make strategic decisions on build vs. buy for pipeline components

   • Ensure compatibility between AI tools and traditional VFX software

5. Product Development & Delivery

   • Define detailed product requirements and specifications for pipeline components

   • Work with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and integration

   • Prioritize backlog items and manage product development sprints

   • Oversee testing and validation processes across the entire pipeline

   • Drive continuous improvement of workflow efficiency and output quality

Qualifications

Required:

• 5-7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years working on AI/ML products or VFX pipeline tools

• Demonstrated experience with AI video generation tools and traditional VFX workflows

• Strong technical background with ability to understand complex pipeline architectures

• Experience working with creative production teams and understanding their workflow needs

• Track record of shipping successful technical products from concept to launch

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred:

• Previous experience in film, animation, VFX, or media production pipelines

• Hands-on experience with both generative AI tools (Stable Diffusion, RunwayML, etc.) and VFX software

• Understanding of node-based workflows (ComfyUI, Nuke, Houdini, etc.)

• Background in technical direction, pipeline development, or workflow optimization

• Experience managing products that integrate multiple technologies

• MBA or advanced degree in relevant field

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of AI video generation technologies

• Familiarity with VFX pipelines and production workflows

• Knowledge of media asset management and version control systems

• Experience with product management and tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

• Understanding of software development lifecycle
