NYU Leonard Stern School of Business  and NYU Shanghai are excited to announce an open call for Postdoctoral Fellowship applications. The position is expected to start in Fall 2025 and will be under the supervision of Profs. Bruno Abrahao (NYU Shanghai) and João Sedoc (NYU Stern). 

Research Focus Areas

Our research encompasses topics in DL and AI, including but not limited to:

  • Deep Learning Algorithms and Paradigms

  • Generative Models

  • Large Language Models

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)

  • Deep Reinforcement Learning

  • Theoretical Foundations of Deep Learning and AI

  • Optimization Techniques in Machine Learning

Collaboration and Mentorship

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will collaborate closely with our faculty mentors and have the opportunity to engage with research groups at both NYU Shanghai and NYU’s New York campus. While teaching is not a requirement, those interested in gaining teaching experience will find opportunities to do so.

Appointment and Benefits

We offer one or two-year appointments, which may be renewable. Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions.  

Qualifications

We welcome candidates specializing in deep learning (DL) and artificial intelligence (AI), who have successfully completed a Ph.D. in fields such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related disciplines by the time they assume their post.
