In Credit Portfolio Steering we monitor the development of Erste Group’s loan portfolio, with a specific focus on corporate clients in our core AT and CEE markets. Our department performs active steering and constantly develops and improves its credit risk data infrastructure in order to deliver reliable processes and further drive digitalization and efficiency.
Following the implementation of a dedicated data infrastructure for regulatory requirements, we now have access to an extensive dataset which we can leverage to improve our portfolio analysis and steering. This opens up opportunities for someone passionate about data insights and process improvement. Our team is young, dynamic and welcomes people who are curious and love to work with data. Your Tasks

  • Preparation of the analytical data framework for internal, regulatory and management needs
  • Building up an analysis landscape based on the extensive dataset available using DataBricks, SQL and Python 
  • Further enhancement of our reporting data visualization i.e. in Tableau, with the goal to be used group-wide
  • Coordination of all IT topics related to our DataMarts with Erste Digital and other data users 
  • Represent our team as SPOC for the coordination and processing of requirements, sprints, prioritization, etc.

Your Background

  • Logical thinker who thrives on solving complex problems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, data quality topics and errors in data to support decision-making processes
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python to query, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases and experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) 
  • We would favor someone with a background in data science, IT, mathematics, or similar and a strong interest and preferably experience in banking and credit risk
  • Fluent in English and German

  • The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 44.860,76 gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
