Scopely is looking for a People Data Scientist to join our People Analytics team in Barcelona, Spain on a hybrid basis working at least 2 days a week from the hub.

In this role, you will focus on delivering analytics that align with our business objectives and address key organizational challenges. You will enhance People Analytics by developing sophisticated dashboards in Looker, conducting in-depth data analysis, and applying statistical methods and machine learning. Your work will drive actionable solutions to improve workforce effectiveness and foster a data-driven culture across the organization. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement of HR processes and programs.

What You Will Do  

  • Partner with the business to define key KPIs to measure people's data
  • Advise and collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to develop data-driven recommendations and action plans, driving strategies that address current and future business challenges.
  • Contribute to data-driven decision-making across the organization by identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and programs.
  • Prepare and analyze HR-related datasets, including employee demographics, performance, compensation, and engagement.
  • Provide data insights by correlating data from different sources 
  • Design, create, and maintain dashboards in Looker, Workday, and other systems to communicate insights and recommendations to HR and business leaders.
  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning to gain valuable insights and develop predictive models that identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support HR decisions.
  • Develop predictive models to identify trends and patterns, forecast outcomes, and inform HR decisions.
  • Translate complex data insights into simple, actionable solutions that add value to HR and the business.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness in all analyses and reports, working with IT and other stakeholders to ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of HR data and models.

What We’re Looking For  

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization. Experience in HR analytics preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively about complex business problems.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques, such as regression analysis, machine learning, and data mining.
  • Expertise in data visualization and reporting tools, such as Looker.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and practices, and their impact on business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and technologies, such as Workday, Peakon, and Jobvite.
