Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage a team of data scientists to translate business problems into actionable analytic projects that drive business performance.
- Identify, adopt, and maintain analytic best practices around predictive modeling techniques, programming languages, and software applications.
- Establish and maintain best practices for model maintenance, validation, and refresh.
- Provide business partnership to develop and maintain data at the customer and agency level for use in predictive modeling.
- Incorporate demographic, firmographic, geographic, telematic, internet-of-things (IOT), and other data sources for analytic benefit.
- Collaborate with the Personal and Commercial Lines, Sales and Marketing, Customer Experience, and other internal client teams to support corporate initiatives using predictive analytics.
- Regularly report project status and prioritize as needed based on stakeholder feedback.
- Prioritize work of direct reports based on input from business partners.
- Synthesize findings, analysis, and recommendations into JM executive team level presentations that convey insights and recommendations through compelling, persuasive, and efficient story-telling, while maintaining a balance between key insights and mastery of details.

Qualifications
- Masters degree in a related field required
- 7+ years of related experience required
- Must have experience with advanced use of statistics and dynamic model building, including cluster analysis, decision trees, and other non-linear algorithms, and linear regression techniques
- Direct experience with large data sets is required
- Prior insurance industry experience is preferred
- Must have experience with customer centric, behavioral, marketing, segmentation, and distribution analytics
- Must have an aptitude for critical thinking and problem resolution and strong communication skills
