Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a post-graduate engineering, mathematics, statistics, or data science program at an accredited post-secondary institutionPlease attach your most recent transcripts with your application.

  • Intermediate level coding skills in Python.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the AI and Data Science team to solve business problems using mathematics, data, statistics,

  • Work as an understudy of a senior data scientist and get the opportunity to apply machine learning and mathematical optimization techniques to real world problem

  • Learn to use enterprise level tools, and be expected to communicate with multiple stakeholders across our producing units

Location and other Key Details: 

  • This is a 12- or 16- month work term starting in January 2025. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
