Turo, Inc. seeks Manager, Data Scientist in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Manage a small team, or a team with limited scope. Define technical and project
management guidance / best-practices for the team. Participate in team development, including
hiring. Heavily involved in the design and inspiration of future roadmaps. Identify and define
success metrics, challenges teams on counter-metrics. Anticipate future exploration
opportunities / risks and keeps senior leadership informed of opportunities / risks. Identify and
addresses quality issues proactively, partnering with Data Engineering, Data Analytics, MLE and
other stakeholders. Actively monitor the overall business and understand KPI trends.
Responsible for the vision of the team. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Data Science,
Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline or Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign
degree equivalent) in Data Science, Operations Research or a related quantitative discipline
and five (5) of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) SQL; (2) Machine Learning; (3) Python; (4) Pycharm; (5)
JupyterLab; and (6) R. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is
acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted.
Salary: $230,000.00 - $300,000.00 per annum.
