Job Description

SIXT Data Science team helps our customers make better mobility decisions by transforming raw data into insights that power many of the products and features available on our website.

Our team develops mathematical models to solve complex business problems, and our work is critical to many areas including search, recommendations, sort, bidding, geography, and revenue management. As a leader of our group, you will collaborate with talented scientists to move the business forward using novel approaches and rich sources of data. What you’ll do?

• Manage a team of highly skilled Data Scientists, fostering collaboration and maximizing business impact.
• You develop the end-to-end automation of data pipelines to make ingestion, transformation, and distribution of data more efficient and self-service for our users.
• Collaborate and empower Engineering and Product teams in making data-driven decisions.
• Ensure to build best-in-class products and models by defining evaluation metrics, delivering actionable user-insights, and leading experimentations.
• Own end-to-end business problems/metrics and directly impact the profitability of the company.
• Be responsible for setting up best practices for data/model governance and analytics life-cycle.
• Have a strong customer-centric approach to getting things done.

Qualifications

What do you need to succeed?

• You hold a B.E/B.Tech or Master’s degree in computer science or related fields.
• You have 12+ of experience in the field of predictive modelling, machine learning, quantitative analytics, research, or data sciences.
• You have atleast 2+ years of experience in people management, with handling small to medium size teams of data scientists.
• You should have strong knowledge in statistics and machine learning with direct experience in Data Science with clear understanding fundamentals of statistical models, classical ML models, inference and hypothesis testing, simulations and optimisations.
• You have good experience in Python / Java / Go. Should have understanding of Devops/Mlops.
• You have experience of implementing real time complex problem.
• Proven track record of ability to influence business partners to balance the need to deliver fast and build scalable solutions.
• Experience implementing global reporting and analytical solutions in compliance with data regulations.
• Experience in the mobility domain is a big plus.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and experience with advanced machine learning libraries is highly preferred.
