Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering
    • Work alongside the Data Science, Technology Development, and business teams in the further development of MNP’s Enterprise Analytics program
    • Assist with the development and maintenance of our Azure data platform, which uses a data Lakehouse architecture and utilizes; Azure Databricks and Delta, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake storage, Azure SQL and Power Platform
    • Play a leadership role in the development of the data architecture, developing a strong understanding of business processes and transforming and modelling data for analytical consumption
    • Develop scripts and stored procedures for data extraction, load, and transformation processes
    • Performance monitor and orchestrate all analytical data related processes
    • Assist with platform monitoring; security, governance (Unity Catalog), pipelines, costs, user access, and related tasks
    • Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML) 
  • Machine Learning & Data Science
    • Support the data science and ML team with project planning, model/pipeline design and best practices
    • Support the data science and ML team with the productionization of products utilizing the Databricks Intelligence Platform (MLFlow, Model Serving, Feature Store, Vector Search, and related tasks
    • Assist with the design, development and productionization of any new Gen AI / RAG / LLM initiatives

 Skills and Experience

  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience in a data engineering, data architecture, or BI development roles
  • Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience using Databricks (Notebooks, Workflows, Lakehouse Architecture, Delta Tables, Delta Live Tables, MLFlow, Vector Search, Feature Store, Unity Catalog, or Lakehouse Federation
  • Experience in data integration, transformation, preparation and data modeling
  • Experience with:
    • ETL/ELT Data pipeline development using ADF
    • Azure SQL server and other Azure cloud data services
    • Azure DevOps CICD Pipelines
    • Power Platform would be considered an asset (Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate)
  • Strong understanding of Databricks Lakehouse Architecture and best practices
  • Hands on experience working with business intelligence and development teams
  • Willingness to develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services, businesses and industry
