Job Location: Milwaukee, WI

Essential functions:

• Model Development and Implementation: Design and develop machine learning algorithms and models. Test models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Implement models in production environments, ensuring they perform optimally under various conditions.
• Data Management: Work with cross-functional teams to establish data collection and preprocessing frameworks that support effective machine learning operations.
• Research and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Explore new methods and technologies that can enhance the functionality and efficiency of our systems.
• Innovative Problem-Solving: Apply your mechanical engineering or physics knowledge to tackle complex challenges through advanced machine learning techniques, improving system performance and decision-making capabilities.
• Collaboration: Engage with engineers, developers, and business units to integrate machine learning solutions into broader systems and processes.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, adjust, and refine machine learning models to better replicate and predict physical phenomena, achieving superior business outcomes.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the development process, model functionalities, and deployment methods.

Basic Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field.

Experience:  At least 2+ years of relevant experience in machine learning, ideally with a solid grounding in mechanical engineering or physics.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS for deploying and managing machine learning workloads.
• A robust understanding of mechanical engineering or physics principles, capable of translating physical behaviors into digital models.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
• Strong communication abilities, able to articulate complex solutions to a non-technical audience.
• Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
