NetApp is currently working on cloud based Saas application which will be running in AWS. Currently we are looking for Data Scientists in Public Cloud Services BU.

Public Cloud Services (PCS) delivers modern data management applications and services that helps customers leverage public and multi-cloud solutions. The group is responsible for Cloud Insights, Cloud Volumes/Azure NetApp Files (ANF), SaaS Backup, HCI, Spot by NetApp and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Cloud Insights, a Saas based solution, delivers analytics products for data & infrastructure management, optimization, and security.
Cloud Secure helps protect your data with actionable intelligence on insider threats. It provides centralized visibility and control of all corporate data access across hybrid cloud environments to ensure security and compliance goals are met.

As a Data Scientist Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for actively participating in driving product development and strategy. As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, supportability, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. 

Job Requirements

• Analyze high volume of data in a Saas application.
• Explore data and come up with meaningful insights from the data.
• Apply machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to solve business use cases.
• You are fluent with relational algebra.
• You have mastered working with data in a language such as Python. Having excellent knowledge in Python is a must.
• You’ve done data science at high scale with tools like Flink or Hadoop or Spark.
• You have backend programming experience in one or more languages.
• You have significant experience applying machine learning to real business problems.
• You want to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment and thrive on autonomy.
• You have worked with the Development and QA team to implement the algorithm in code and take it to production.
• Should be conversant with Jupiter notebooks. 

Education

• A minimum of 14 years of experience is required. 12 to 16 years of experience is preferred.
• A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex Data Science projects
