This position requires end to end data science and analysis skills. These include but are not limited to organizing and analyzing huge datasets and building complex schemas and rules governing data flow. A primary focus for this role will be on applying Master Data Management (MDM) principles and working within the data management team to apply uniform normalization and standardization across Postal Datasets. This position documents and defines data science best practices and procedures, leads adoption processes, and research emerging technology

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to analyze large amounts complex data to identify patterns and trends, using analytical, statistical, and programmable skills

  • Ability to analyze the structured and unstructured data to gain insights

  • Contribute to assets/offerings and thought leadership.

  • Provides technical direction and guidance to all stakeholders on the analysis, interpretation, and display of data; advises on the appropriate statistical and computational methodologies (e.g., probability sampling, experimental design, data quality) to ensure accurate conclusions and presentation of data findings.

  • Researches, analyzes, and interprets underlying data; develops algorithms to evaluate domain data (e.g., customer, finance, operational) to address business questions or issues.

  • Designs and executes the development of models and visualizations to address opportunities and pain points with technology systems and applications.

  • Develops scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large scale data analyses and model development, validation, and implementation. Develops processes and mechanisms using programming languages.

  • Query and analyze data to identify business insights

  • Apply MDM best practices and develop complex Merge and Match Rules governing multiple large data sets

  • Document procedures and develop guideline for Data Scientist best practices and standards for normalization, definition, naming etc

  • Research and apply emerging data science best practices and technologies

  • Ensuring adoption of required policies and standards across the enterprise

  • create a value chain to help address the challenges of acquiring data, evaluating its value, distilling & analyzing

  • examine data from multiple sources and share insights.

Required Skills:

  • 2 years experience in working as Data Scientist in implementing business solution to get insight out of data.

  • 1 year of experience with data science tools - Python, Spark, Scala, Databricks

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Solid understanding SQL and other query tools

  • Analytical mind and great business sense and Problem-solving aptitude

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
