This program will be a 32-hour weekly commitment. 

The Challenge:

Take-Two’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain substantive, first-hand business insight over the course of a paid internship. Interns will gain hands-on exposure in the area(s) of their desired interests as well as participate in team-based summer-long projects. Our internships are created with the intent that students walk away with meaningful learning experiences that enhance both their personal and professional development goals.

 As a Data Science and Analytics Intern, you will work closely with our team of data scientists and analysts to produce data-driven analyses and recommendations to internal stakeholders, utilize machine learning and associated techniques for predictive analysis, and engage in programming tasks to contribute to the data science and analytics code-base.

What We Do:

Enterprise Data Science goes beyond big data initiatives and takes advantage of recent advances in machine learning algorithms and cloud computing infrastructure, to extract all possible knowledge from Take-Two’s data sets to drive change and create value throughout the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Use research and analytical techniques such as statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization to explore data, test hypotheses, identify underlying causes and patterns.
  • Collaborate with senior analytics staff to understand how analytics and data science can help meet business needs, formulate quantitative and measurable objectives, and guide them to actionable solutions.
  • Contribute to work-programs including Manual Process Automation, Sales Forecasting and Price Optimization, Competitive Intelligence, Internal Tool Development, and Technically Documentation
  • Learn and practice principles of collaborative programming, exercising the use of version control and Gitflow.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate familiarity with Python and SQL programming
  • Familiarity with data and statistical analysis techniques and underlying concepts of Calculus, Statistics and Linear Algebra
  • Conceptual familiarity with Data Science techniques and methodologies (e.g., Machine Learning and established techniques for unsupervised learning, regression and classification, and experience with applying techniques to data)
  • Familiarity with Data Visualization design principles and telling visual stories
  • A passion for automating everything

Nice to have:

  • Passion for the gaming industry & an active player of video games
  • Familiar with additional related subject matter such as time series analytics, text-processing, NLP, and analytical techniques applied to language
  • Familiar with common libraries: Sklearn, Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter
  • Familiar with Tableau or a similar Visualization/BI tool
  • Familiar with Streamlit or a similar browser-tool development package

Technical Skills Required:

  • SQL intermediate proficiency, including the writing of subqueries
  • Basic to intermediate Python proficiency, with familiarity of data structures (e.g. dict, list, etc..), control structures (e.g. loops, conditionals, etc..), functions, objects, and importing a plus.

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be $30 per Hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
