No matter where you land as a Data Scientist within NXP, you will join a high-performing, global team, and assist with designing, developing, and deploying data driven analytic solutions supporting your assigned org to improve operations performance and product quality.   Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the organization, you will design and develop predictive data models and algorithms in support of corporate goals. These solutions could include  visual inspection and image classification, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, NLP or other machine learning and AI applications.
Activities

  • Mine and analyze data from databases to drive optimization and improvement of manufacturing process, new product and process development, product performance and quality
  • Develop data science applications for visual inspection and classification, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, NLP, or root cause analysis using computer vision, machine learning and deep learning
  • Perform full data modeling and algorithm development cycle: modeling, training, tuning, validating, deploying and maintaining services
  • Research and develop novel statistical approaches and machine learning/deep learning models which add values to manufacturing process and product performance improvement
  • Foster relationships with business team members and communicate project results in terms of customer value and business objectives
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques


Qualifications

  • Working towards MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences, Applied Mathematics or related field
  • Python or R programming experience or coursework
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current ML and AI technologies & platforms
  • Knowledge of current technologies and ML frameworks (tensorflow, pytorch, sklearn, keras,…)
  • Hands-on experience on data engineering/processing frameworks (databricks, spark, dataflow, …)
  • Data Science prototyping experience
  • Results driven with a positive can-do attitude
  • Creative problem solving
  • Experience with Recurrent Neural Network architectures
  • Experience with Image Analytics
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience working with remote and global teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prefer experience with distributed storage and compute tools such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Prefer working knowledge of streaming data solutions
  • Prefer experience with Dataiku
  • Prefer experience with DevOps environment
