Do you want to put your engineering and analytical skills into practice in a diverse and global manufacturing company?
As a Data Science Intern, you will be responsible for improving and validating our predictive model. You will also collect new data, specifically viscosity measurements of PVC organosols with different formulations. These measurements are conducted in the lab and do not require prior experience in laboratory work. Once collected, you will preprocess the data and integrate it into the machine learning model. You will also re-train the model to enhance its accuracy and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating an user interface and ensuring a smooth implementation of the model in the production area. This role offers a great opportunity to apply advanced machine learning techniques and data analytics in a practical setting, contributing to the optimisation of our production processes.
Your main responsibilities will be:
The preferred start date is 1st October 2024 or earlier. The ideal candidate is available 4 to 5 days a week for 6 months. The location of the position is our site in Alphen aan den Rijn. This is a hands-on internship experience which involves lots of lab work and requires working from the site physically.
