Head of Marketing

Role Description: The Head of Marketing is an experienced marketing leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, from building campaigns for educators to strategizing messaging for B2B customers as an IC, while eventually managing a team. The Head of Marketing will be focused on building upon our existing community building efforts and brand, launching diverse paid advertising efforts, and optimizing conversion rates from free to paid users within a product-led growth model, all via a data-driven growth mindset.

Responsibilities:

As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for driving to the following outcomes:

  • Increase website conversions (visits to sign ups) by 10%

    • Equip website with right asset to convert customers

  • Improve sales conversion by 10%

    • Define ICPs, key messages

    • Equip sales team with right assets to convert customers

    • Expands upon our B2C & B2B users

    • Use data to make targeted decisions

  • Increase awareness and brand affinity

    • Web traffic increases by 100% and we maintain a NPS of over 50

    • Build brand/community for our target audience via existing efforts & new efforts

    • Maintain strong brand association

    • Develop diverse marketing strategies & maintains advertising budget

    • Market new product functionality by developing and executing strategies, including crafting key messages, coordinating activities, and identifying target audiences

Qualifications/Competencies/Skills:

As head of marketing, you will bring the following skills:

  • Proficiency with data & growth marketing

    • Segmentation of user needs

    • Experience in running campaigns, measuring performance, and optimizing spend to accelerate the growth of our community and increase user engagement

  • Proficiency in product marketing

    • Ability to message concisely and effectively (writing & messaging value propositions)

  • Proficiency around marketing tools

Experience:

  • 2+ years leading marketing team/function in past

  • Experience in businesses with B2B & B2C functions

  • Led initiatives for growth marketing, product marketing, and content marketing

  • Nice to have: Experience leading function in EdTech

  • Nice to have: Successful startup marketing experience as early marketing hire

$125,000 - $185,000
