Purpose of Role:
Lead and support the Weir business in the establishment and execution of enterprise level Data & AI Governance processes, standards and tools to support data governance and data management at the Weir Group. Manage the Corporate Data Risk, chair the relevant governance forums and Community of practices. The role will also involve acting as the lead and subject matter expert for the development and delivery of our enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) roadmap.
Reporting to the Group Chief Data Officer, you will lead in the continued development and implementation of an approach to the governance and management of data and AI across Weir Group and in alignment to the Global Data Strategy. You will have solid exposure to working with different types of data including more traditional operational and master data, but also extending to more digitally focused big data and IoT data and AI. Weir is focused on implementing Generative AI and the expectation would be that you would take a lead role in supporting the development and assurance of the necessary policies and standards.
