About the Team
The Governance and Experience Algorithm team was established in September 2020 and its main job is to support the following businesses with the most advanced AI technology:
- Combat any kinds of risks/violations issues in E-commerce scenarios.
- Build a healthy E-commerce ecosystem and improve platform service capabilities

About the Team
Governance and Experience team strives to build a worry-free shopping journey for our users on TikTok. We provide a trustworthy e-commerce experience by (1) eliminating malicious sellers, (2) ensuring listings are policy compliant, (3) ensuring users receive authentic products in the condition they expect, and (4) in the rare chance the order experience does not meet customer expectations, we make things right by providing hassle-free solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Develop scientific metrics to measure success of E-Commerce governance and experience team.
• Develop the credit system for merchants and creators to incentivize good behavior.
• Work closely with engineers and product managers, and drive project execution and iteration by clear problem scoping and design.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
