Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Head of Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning to lay the foundation for data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the Director of Insights & Analytics, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital future based on advanced analytics services to unlock innovative solutions for intelligent operations and customer growth opportunities
Key responsibilities include
Oversee the Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning unit at Barry Callebaut, directly reporting to the Director of Insights & Analytics
Lead a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers and data engineers to build up advanced analytics capabilities, unlocking predictive and prescriptive insights to enable our business
Develop a framework of best practices and training, and build a community to enable advanced analytics across Barry Callebaut
Develop and execute a roadmap for the build-up of advanced analytics capabilities and services
Prioritize analytics initiatives based on business value and steer the implementation of new technologies
Collaborate with stakeholders of our business and other digital teams to jointly transform the analytics landscape of Barry Callebaut and ensure alignment with Barry Callebaut’s overall digital transformation
Support the business in projects to implement advanced analytics solutions
Align governance of advanced analytics solutions at Barry Callebaut on a global level
This is a global leadership role with key stakeholders located in Brussels, Zurich, and other locations of our global footprint, and thus requires up to 25% travel.
About you
Graduate degree in IT/technology, data, computer science, engineering, business administration or a comparable field
Proficient in English
Extensive experience with Azure Data & Analytics tools (e.g. Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.), certifications appreciated
Deep understanding of roles, processes and technologies around advanced analytics, machine learning, AI incl. related trends
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including the management of multi-cultural, dispersed teams
Experienced in building up best-in-class analytical capabilities, preferably in the consumer goods industry
