Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working on digital fiber optic communication systems, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in simulating optical transmission impairments.
  • Experience in Digital Communications and Signal Processing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics with an emphasis in optical transmission.
  • Experience in digital optical transmission link set up and characterization.
  • Experience in Python programming.
  • Knowledge of the Ethernet protocol and datacenter network architecture.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Work with Optical link, system and architecture designs.
  • Participate in numerical analysis and simulation of link performance.
  • Perform optical module architecture tradeoff analysis.
  • Work with technical leads to set up system testbed and characterize optical module and system performance.
  • Design digital diagnosis and fault localization for optical systems.
