Pick from seniors and stakeholders across departments to identify and define operational problems, opportunities, and objectives.
Create and build mathematical models and optimization problems to represent real-world scenarios, considering constraints, objectives, and decision variables.
Apply statistical analysis, simulation techniques, and forecasting methods to analyse complex datasets and evaluate alternative courses of action.
Develop decision support tools and models to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions and optimizing operational performance.
Develop and implement optimization algorithms and computational techniques to solve large-scale optimization problems.
Implement mathematical models and algorithms in software systems and platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, regions, BUs, finance, and marketing, to understand their needs and requirements.
Translate business requirements into mathematical models and optimization solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Communicate technical concepts, project updates, and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Lead research efforts to explore new algorithms, methodologies, and approaches to address complex operational challenges and drive innovation.
Experiment with new tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operations research solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Masters in applied mathematics, statistics, data science, operation research, engineering or related field with 5 to 10 years relevant industry experience. Phd a plus.
Hands-on experience in application of machine learning, statistical techniques in one or more of below areas:
operations research, mathematical modeling, and optimization, LLMs solutions
Logistics network optimization
Inventory management & forecasting
Strong proficiency in mathematical programming, linear and nonlinear optimization, integer programming, and stochastic optimization.
Experience with optimization software packages such as CPLEX, Gurobi, or AMPL.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or Julia.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate and solve complex optimization problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects from conception to completion, delivering actionable insights and impactful solutions.
Passion for applying quantitative methods and analytics to solve real-world problems and drive business value.
Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
