Come join Dexterity and help make intelligent robots a reality!As a Product Operation Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring deployment of all robotic systems can meet the desired internal and customer goals.
What to expect
Initial assist with deployment and provisioning of robotic systems and assisting in setting up Dexterity Operations of systems on-site
Test robotic systems in a production setting and document bugs, perform initial RCAs inside Dexterity's ticketing system
Build and support and escalation playbooks to resolve operational issues, helping internal and offshore teams meet Dexterity SLAs
Manually intervene and assist robots in the event of unforeseen events / errors at both Dexterity in-house systems and customer sites
Troubleshoot a range of issues seen in R&D builds and Production units utilizing testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, and document information inside ticket system
Provide remote support on Production units at customer sites
Assist in creating testing rigs within the Dexterity HQ to help troubleshoot assemblies and provide initial RCAs to suppliers
Assist in RCAs on Production components that fail and refurbish after RCA is completed
Mechanical/Electrical/Pneumatic troubleshooting experience of automated systems, including control circuits.
Comprehension in system troubleshooting, Linux/UNIX operating systems, command line interface (CLI), networking, analyzing traces and debug logs.
50% travel to customer site to deploy a robot solution
HW installation, SW commissioning utilizing tooling, Testing, and Calibration
Working with external partners such as vendors, manufacturers, and contractors
Desired Skills
Technical knowledge or similar skills in 1 or more of the following: Navigate HW & 3D Design (Solidworks, NX preferred), Electrical Systems & Troubleshooting of them including RCA Analysis
Experience in an industrial environment, warehouse, logistics, is highly desired
Technical Training, teaching others, working with different audiences
Startup mentality - Ability to balance several projects
A belief that all tasks have value, and no job is too small
A “Whatever it takes” attitude
Qualifications:
BS/ AAS in an engineering discipline related to robotics (CS/EE/ME etc,) or relevant work experience
Curiosity, tenacity, and perseverance trump degrees in this role
A commitment to travel and work at customer sites
Willingness to work long hours when required to get the job done
Physical Requirements:
Loud work environment with temperature change due to seasons at office, warehouses and clients’/customers’ locations
Walking/standing long hours and exposed to loud environment/machine and during travel
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Additional Information:
Travel up to 50%
Must be able to work long hours as needed to complete assigned tasks
May be required to work extended hours during planned and unplanned maintenance.
