Job Description The ePlane Company is seeking a full-time Fight Mechanics Engineer (HQ) to join our team based in Chennai. As a Fight Mechanics Engineer (HQ), you will 1. Analyze aircraft stability and performance characteristics to ensure acceptable handling qualities in compliance with specifications. 2. Develop and validate aircraft linear and non-linear flight simulation models that include modeling various aircraft elements and subsystems. 3. Participation in wind-tunnel / flight testing to support model validation and tuning. 4. Collaborate with the personnel in other disciplines such as flight controls, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, avionics systems, and structural design to optimize vehicle characteristics. 5. Tuning of control laws to achieve desired characteristics for dynamic control response, gust rejection, system, failure robustness etc. 6. Conduct piloted simulation for the assessment of the handling qualities of the aircraft
Tech Skills required 1. Basic working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and associated blocksets for flight dynamic modelling & simulation 2. Experience working with digital control systems 3. Experience working in aircraft stability and control & system identification 4. Familiarity with aircraft handling qualities standards and levels 5. Fundamental understanding of linear and nonlinear systems 6. Strong oral and written communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical team members 7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualification & Experience 1. Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience in relevant domain (or) 2. Master's Degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience in relevant domain (or) 3. PhD Degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or related field and 1+ years of experience in relevant domain
