Chef Robotics is on a mission to accelerate the advent of intelligent machines in the physical world. As the rise of LLMs like ChatGPT has shown, AI has the potential to drive immense change. However, we believe AI’s biggest impact will be in the physical world, given industries like manufacturing, food, and transportation represent 90% of global GDP. We're starting with food, with a goal to put an intelligent robot in every commercial kitchen in the world. We have signed multiple multi-year contracts with various large food companies and we are growing fast. We're backed by investors like Kleiner Perkins, Construct, Bloomberg BETA and Promus Ventures. We have a great team, where you will be surrounded by talented engineers and tech leaders from companies like Cruise, Zoox, Google, Verb Surgical, Tesla, Nuro, Vicarious, Amazon Robotics, Strateos, Built Robotics, Facebook, Plenty, Yelp, and Microsoft.

  • Serve as on-call support providing assistance when need; including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to report and remediate problems.
  • Perform preventative and correct measures and maintenance on Chef Systems.

Requirements

  • AS or BS in an engineering or technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of technician-related/electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Access to a personal vehicle to travel to customer locations and valid driver's license (at least 2 days per week. Mileage will be reimbursed).
  • Experience setting up and performing IT/networking along with sensor deployments.
  • This role will require occasional off-hours travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with early start-ups and/or robotic applications.
  • Willing to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and work in temperature-controlled (refrigerated) environments.
  • A self-starter who has initiative, time management skills, and organizational and interpersonal skills.
