Meet the team:

Join the AUTOSAR Basic Software Team, where we are responsible for developing the AUTOSAR system design that serves as the foundation for configuring the AUTOSAR stack, bootloader, and complex device driver integration. Our work ensures a seamless transition from system design to application development by providing code templates and configurations to AUTOSAR feature teams.

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager – AUTOSAR Basic Software, who is enthusiastic about people leadership and embedded software development.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will lead a team of seven software engineers, work on configuring and integrating AUTOSAR MCAL modules, and ensure the successful development and certification of Torc’s AUTOSAR platform.

  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a team of seven software engineers
  • Accountable and responsible for career development and coaching of the team. Accountable and responsible for performance management of the team.
  • Accountable and responsible for ensuring continuous performance feedback is delivered and compensation analysis in close collaboration with peer managers and People Operations.
  • Bring up the Infineon Aurix MCU and ensure smooth system integration.
  • Design the AUTOSAR system architecture using PREEvision.
  • Configure and integrate MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer).
  • Create System and ECU Extracts using PREEvision.
  • Configure AUTOSAR modules such as COM stack and crypto modules using Vector DaVinci Configurator.
  • Develop Signal-Service Interfaces using SOME/IP.
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of business area and demonstrates results of ongoing learning and professional development. Ability to effectively manage people and identify opportunities to develop staff experience and expertise.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field engineering equivalent & 10+ years of relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of Engineering Management Experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with PREEvision and Vector DaVinci Configurator.
  • Strong knowledge of the Vector Toolchain.
  • Proficiency in C programming language for embedded systems.
  • Experience configuring AUTOSAR modules (e.g., COM stack).
  • Familiarity with automotive product certification processes.
  • Ability to thrive in an agile development environment.

  • Hands-on mentality: Despite your leadership role, you are not afraid to get involved in coding and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with Infineon Bootloader and MCAL.
  • Experience in safety-critical automotive systems and certification compliance.
