Electrical Engineer Job Description: Perform research, selection, test, and integration of electronic components and equipment in a military environment. Analyze, define and design mainly COTS equipment for new or existing systems or subsystems. Additional responsibilities include drawing creation, troubleshooting issues, test planning; test development; and test execution. Position spans the technology development life cycle, including requirements generation, system design and implementation, hardware procurement, integration, test, and installation across lab facilities and at-sea platforms. Electrical Engineer Required Tasks/Skills: · Specification, analysis, and selection of COTS, ROTS, NDI and / or custom components. · Requirements review. · Cable Design for rack/stack system. · Interconnect Diagrams and Cable Run Sheets. · Test Procedure Development and Execution. · System Verification and Validation. · Support of limited Environmental Test and Analysis. · End-of-Life assessment and evaluation. Electrical Engineer Highly Desirable Skills: · Experience with Zuken E3 Cable Design, Visio or similar tools. Electrical Engineer Additional Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master’s degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner. · Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen. · Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently. · Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success.
