Role and accountabilities: SiMa.ai is looking for Director of Sales, North America to join our team to drive sales activities in the Eastern Region, North America for our leading machine learning software-enabled-semiconductor company. As a regional Sales leader, you will bring your deep-rooted understanding of the market, further research potential markets and prioritizing target customers.This role encompasses the below key areas of responsibility:
Primary evangelist of SiMa.ai products and customer champion that grows and develops relationships with key stakeholders, across all top tier customers and government agencies in the Eastern Region, North America region.
Identify new customers and grow sales opportunities in targeted verticals.
Drive customer engagement funnel and secure designs that are a good fit for SiMa.
Develop and deliver compelling presentations and business proposals to customers.
Drive product positioning, pricing, and contract negotiations
Guide customers through various steps of the sales pipeline process and qualify the customer opportunity.
Leverage regional reps and distis’ to grow design wins and revenue.
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Eastern Region, North America region that supports the company’s revenue ramp-up plans.
Establish long-term business relationships with revenue/growth customers and create qualified sales opportunities with these customers, including evangelizing SiMa.ai to government and commercial agencies and consortia.
Experience and expertise areas: This role requires a seasoned Sales leader who is hands-on, engaged, proactive, accountable and results driven. In particular we require:
Bachelor degree (or higher) preferably in computer science or electrical or electronics engineering. MS/MBA is highly preferred.
15+ years of sales and business development experience with proven track record in a leadership role selling to customers/market preferably in semiconductors, processors, DSPs, or embedded edge AI semiconductor and software products.
Business contacts and experience selling into one or more of the markets: Robotics, Factory Automation, Medical, Surveillance, and Public Sector. Good understanding of Vision applications is highly desired.
Demonstrated track record of successfully and consistently growing revenue for new innovative technology-based solutions with focus on qualifying new customers and business opportunities.
Strong and established business relationship with key customers and ecosystem partners in the East Region, North America region.
Ability to engage and articulate SiMa product and technology to customers.
Have an operating level understanding of processor systems and architectures and ML solutions for the embedded applications.
Ability to quickly learn AI and ML concepts/frameworks to have meaningful conversations with customers.
Able to articulate complex product and technical content to customers and partners.

Good communication skills. The Annual salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $250,000 plus variable incentive (MBO/sales-commission). The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands.
