You’ll report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with world-class teams in Marketing, Product, and Customer Success. You’ll develop us into a high-performing, metrics-driven sales organization, taking ownership of revenue, team development, and strategic enterprise deals.

What You’ll Do & Your Impact
Define & Execute Strategy: Craft a value-based sales model for AI security, prioritize inbound and outbound motions, and personally lead key strategic deals as a player-coach.
Lead, Build & Develop Team: Recruit, onboard, and mentor SDRs, Account Executives, and Customer Support.. Establish clear career paths, comp plans, and performance metrics.
Optimize Processes & Ops: Implement scalable sales processes, robust forecasting, dashboards, and data-driven reporting in Salesforce.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Marketing on demand generation and ABM; team up with Product & Engineering on tailored proofs-of-concept; align with Customer Success for seamless handoffs and expansion.
Market Leadership: Represent Lakera at industry events, cultivate executive relationships, and help grow Momentum—the AI Safety & Security Slack community.
Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified
Experience: 8+ years in enterprise SaaS sales, including 3+ years managing a small team of direct reports, preferably in cybersecurity or AI/ML and startup experience.
Track Record: Proven success scaling early-stage sales teams and transitioning to operational rigor, holistic account planning, relationship mapping, executive sponsorship, etc.
Technical Acumen: Comfort selling complex software solutions into technical audiences and C-level stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Expertise in CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and sales analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional coaching skills, high bias toward action, and the ability to influence across functions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
Location: San Francisco
Logistics: Hybrid. We’re excited about candidates who want to contribute to our culture.
Travel: Approximately 20-30% travel required, both domestic and international.

Compensation and Benefits: Our total compensation package is a blend of salary, equity and benefits.
We are committed to paying fairly and aim for these three elements collectively to be highly competitive with market rates. Equity - On top of this position's compensation, equity will be a major component of the total compensation. We aim to offer higher-than-average equity compensation for a company of our size and communicate equity amounts at the time of offer issuance.
