About ODA

Within the larger Oracle Health & AI organization, the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) is an Assistant platform that enables developers to create their own skills and digital assistants using the Conversational AI and Generative AI capabilities exposed to them in a low-code paradigm. The ODA team has been powering conversational AI experiences for all internal Oracle teams and several external customers for the past 7 years and is evolving rapidly to provide Generative AI solutions for the healthcare and enterprise domains. We operate in an agile environment with a substantial charter, high visibility, and support from senior leadership.

About the team

We are looking for ML scientists, Data Engineers, Software Development Engineers, Product/Program Managers and ML engineers with a strong background in machine learning to build industry-leading solutions. You will work with huge volumes of data to solve/enable solving real-world problems in the Healthcare domain that are productionized into our Health AI products. Your solutions will be productized as features in the end products. These are new teams that we are putting together in India Center from scratch and the work will span across New Feature Development for CDA Specialty Expansion & Innovation, Language & Region Expansion, Software Development across front-end, back-end, test automation and mobile, ML Engineering, MLOps, LLMOps, Applied ML Sciences and ML Research, with a huge focus on GenAI capabilities. There is a huge emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering our new Generative AI-powered solutions for healthcare and enterprise customers.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field).
  • Experience as a people manager managing teams of ML scientists and engineers.
  • Proven experience in successfully running AI projects, from concept to delivery, with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality benchmarks.
  • Experience working with the Cloud and distributed systems is a plus.
  • Interest in working in the Healthcare domain which presents a vast opportunity for innovation.
  • 12+ Years relevant experience
  • Manager of Managers. M2 experience desired
  • Experience having run co-pilot projects into product features/solutions

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of Applied ML Scientists and Engineers to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables including the design, development, testing and deployment of highly scalable solutions. Seek, give and receive critical feedback including but not limited to code review
  • Strong Program Management and Project Management to multi-task effectively, combined with strong communication with team members, stakeholders and senior management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure ML solutions successfully deliver the business outcomes
  • As the first line manager, responsible for tactical direction of staff, negotiating resources, manage subordinates and workloads and setting of schedules
  • High visibility opportunity to drive significant business impact, deep-dive into large-scale problem & enable measurable actions via experiments. Lead proof-of-value and quantify business impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI projects with organizational goals and strategies. 
  • Lead the team to solve difficult problems, create success & impact for customers. Ensure results and retention of the team conducting regular 1x1s, team meetings, providing feedback, coaching & delegation. Provide thought leadership to scientists and engineers to help invent and implement scalable models while building tools
  • Engage with the product team to drive innovative research and development
  • Scientific thinking and ability to invent. Prior experience creating intellectual property through patents desirable First line manager responsible for direction of staff, resource management/workloads and schedules
