We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Strategy and Management lead to support the development and implementation of product strategies tailored for AI technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for iterating existing experiences, driving data-led experiments, and delivering new capabilities. We are looking for someone who is curious, can learn quickly, think creatively, and work collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop data product strategies and capabilities tailored for AI technologies.
Lead ideation, requirements gathering, technical development, and launch of innovative AI solutions
Define product roadmaps and schedules in collaboration with technical and business teams.
Devise and execute plans across all business units to proactively drive adoption of responsible AI and analytics, fostering AI maturity with measurable improvements and change management.
Conceptualize and implement robust processes to streamline AI demand with delivery teams in an efficient and effective manner.
Analyze market trends and competitive conditions, positioning the data product effectively.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper data product documentation.
Oversee and steer the data product development process, ensuring compliance with budget, scope, and project timelines.
Drive the customization, configuration, and prompt engineering for AI products in accordance with business requirements to create widely adopted and valuable solutions.
Lead the QA, UAT, and optimization process for AI solutions to ensure they meet the continuous evolving needs of the end users.
Work closely with governance, engineering, and modeling teams to ensure product functionalities are built to the highest standards.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to support product development.
Unify strategy by aligning to Interac’s 3-year corporate and data strategy by setting the vision and direction for the AI data product, identifying opportunities for cross-product collaboration, and executing on agreed-upon strategies.
Identify progressive product features leveraging forward-thinking technology, data, and tools, including ML or AI, to provide significantly differentiated value.
Own the Product Development Life Cycle, leading the data product end-to-end throughout the entire development cycle.
Be the expert on the product and customer, understanding who is using it and what they need to accomplish.
Demonstrate strong understanding of technology, data science, and AI landscape with the ability to drive points of views, strategic thinking, and impact.
Evaluate AI capabilities from a product-centric lens for re-usability and scalability by connecting the dots among initiatives across products and business units
Lead storytelling in executive leadership forums with presentations, articles, and communications to provide visibility and drive decision-making.
Lead annual strategy exercise and business planning with senior leaders including material creation (business cases, executive presentations) and coordination across teams and unites
Qualifications:
Experience as a Product Manager in a technology-driven field, preferably with direct exposure to AI product management.
Understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies.
Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management. Maturity in identifying and driving strategic initiatives, anticipating interdependencies and impacts up and down streams.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. Compelling storytelling and presentation skills to variety of technical and non technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box.
Experience with Jira, SQL, and AWS data infrastructure.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or relevant professional experience.
Experience with Fintech or Payments.
Technical understanding of payment frameworks.
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
Great-to-haves:
University degree in Business, Information Technology Management, or Engineering
2-5 years of experience in Management Consulting or strategy with a large organization.
2-5 years of experience working in Technology with senior leadership.
Experience in developing and implementing data and AI strategies is highly desired.
Experience defining and implementing new operating models, change management, and standing up transformation efforts.
Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.)
