We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Risk team's Data Science stream. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting advanced machine learning approaches that drive our decision-making processes and risk strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining a variety of models by leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques.
Monitoring and validating existing models to ensure their accuracy and relevance in our risk assessment.
Establishing and maintaining diverse datamarts within BigQuery to support our analytical needs.
Continuously optimizing existing risk models to enhance predictive accuracy and operational efficiency.
Engaging in ad-hoc inquiries to provide data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
1+ years of relevant experience: You have a proven track record in roles such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Risk Analyst.
Strong Python Programming Skills: Proficiency in the classic data science and machine learning stack, including numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, catboost, xgboost, and lightgbm.
Data Engineering Skills: You are proficient in SQL commands, enabling you to work with large datasets effectively.
End-to-End Solution Integration: You have a demonstrated ability to improve business processes by integrating end-to-end machine learning-based solutions, driving measurable business impact.
English Proficiency: Effective communication in English is essential, as you will collaborate closely with analysts based in the United Arab Emirates.
Model Deployment Experience: Familiarity with tools such as Airflow and Docker for deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Experience with Cloud Computing Platforms: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, and the ability to leverage cloud-based resources for scalable and efficient data analysis and model deployment.
Financial Data Expertise: Previous experience working with financial data and a solid understanding of risk management principles.
Advanced Data Visualization Skills: Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to effectively communicate complex insights to stakeholders and enhance decision-making processes.
