We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Risk team's Data Science stream. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting advanced machine learning approaches that drive our decision-making processes and risk strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a variety of models by leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Monitoring and validating existing models to ensure their accuracy and relevance in our risk assessment.
  • Establishing and maintaining diverse datamarts within BigQuery to support our analytical needs.
  • Continuously optimizing existing risk models to enhance predictive accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Engaging in ad-hoc inquiries to provide data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 1+ years of relevant experience: You have a proven track record in roles such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Risk Analyst.
  • Strong Python Programming Skills: Proficiency in the classic data science and machine learning stack, including numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, catboost, xgboost, and lightgbm.
  • Data Engineering Skills: You are proficient in SQL commands, enabling you to work with large datasets effectively.
  • End-to-End Solution Integration: You have a demonstrated ability to improve business processes by integrating end-to-end machine learning-based solutions, driving measurable business impact.
  • English Proficiency: Effective communication in English is essential, as you will collaborate closely with analysts based in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Model Deployment Experience: Familiarity with tools such as Airflow and Docker for deploying machine learning models into production environments.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing Platforms: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, and the ability to leverage cloud-based resources for scalable and efficient data analysis and model deployment.
  • Financial Data Expertise: Previous experience working with financial data and a solid understanding of risk management principles.
  • Advanced Data Visualization Skills: Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to effectively communicate complex insights to stakeholders and enhance decision-making processes.
